Star Delight and Crown Jewel Theater Seating Installation

How do you assemble / install your Star Delight / Crown Jewel new theater chairs?
Here are some guidelines. (Celebrity Seating Inc. does not accept any responsibility or liability for incorrectly installed chairs.)
These Star Delight Rocker and Crown Jewel Rocker chairs are actually metric.
We advertise the Star Delight Rocker new theater seats as being 23.62-inches wide measured center-to-center, which they are, but if you had a metric tape measure, you would just measure 60 centimeters, which in my opinion is much simpler.
The Crown Jewel Rocker we advertise as 22.05-inches wide measured center-to-center, which they are, but measured using metric, the crown Jewel Rocker new theater seating are 56cm wide.
The first step in installing your chairs, is to mount the legs to your floor. You will notice a metal footplate at the bottom of the chairs leg, the footplate has 4 holes in it, one in each corner.
For the Star Delight Rocker separate the legs 60 cm apart, (for the Crown Jewel Rocker separate the legs 56cm apart) measuring from the CENTER of one footplate over to the CENTER of the next footplate.
Measure the 60 cm [Star Delight Rocker] center-to-center at the front and then take your tape measure and measure the back. Trying to prevent any pigeon toeing, or duck footing. The foot plates need to be perfectly parallel to each other.
Screws or anchors for attaching the legs to the floor ,you are to purchase locally. Floor hardware is not included.
When your chairs are delivered, look for the box that has "small parts" or "hardware" written on the outside of the box.
After all the legs are screwed down to the floor (recommend just finger tightening them at first, and then fully tighten them at the very end of the installation) then the back assembly goes on.
After the back assembly goes on, then put on the seat bottom assembly on.
Last would be the end panels, and affixing the bottom of the center cushions (the narrow cushions located between the seat bottoms).
The center cushion should be attached already at the top, but the bottom of the center cushion needs to be screwed in. Look for the 2 machine screws for this. Note there is a small sheet metal plate that has 2 threaded holes in it, that the screws go into. However it may not be so apparent how to get the screw through the material at the bottom of the center cushion. Believe it or not if you push and work the screw, back and forth, side to side, the screw will get through the fabric and then you can screw the screw into the sheet metal plate. The screw heads stay exposed.
The end panels screw on, the screws are provided for this. The end panels have upholstered inserts that snap on with plastic 'Christmas Tree" connectors.

The width is actually 23.62" not 24". Sorry for any confusuion.
Note the chair in the picture is the Star Delight which has width of 23.62" (60 cm).
However if you are assembling the Crown Jewel model of theater seating the width is only 22" wide.

Please read all of these instructions, before starting to assemble your chairs.
These instructions are for the 2 chair models: The Star Delight Rocker and the Crown Jewel Rocker.
The main difference between these two chair models is the spacing of the legs.
With the Star Delight Rocker, the legs are 60cm apart (23.62-inches) measured center-to-center.
With the Crown Jewel Rocker, the legs are 56cm apart (22.05-inches) measured center-to-center.
The best foolproof way of making sure that the chairs will fit in your seating area is to wait until you receive the chairs, and then assemble one of the chairs, mount it onto a temporary plywood base, and use that chair to make your measurements.
However we realize this is not always very practical, especially if you want to build risers before your chairs arrive.

To determine the overall width of a row of chairs:
Star Delight Rocker. 60cm / 23.62-inches wide center-to-center.
First you multiply the number of chairs times the center-to-center width.
So, for example to determine the overall width of a row of 3 Star Delight Rockers.... 3 chairs at 23.62-inches center-to center would equal 70.86-inches.
That's fine, but that is not the total OVERALL width.
Second, you have to add the "other half" of the armrests, at each end of the row. This is 6cm or 2.36-inches for 1/2 of an armrest.
So, 2.36-inches X 2 = 4.72-inches. So in our example, 3 chairs X 23.62-inches = 70.86-inches + 4.72-inches = 75.58-inches total overall width for a row of 3 Star Delight Rockers.
Star Delight:
Center-to-center: 23.62-inches / 60cm.
1/2 and armrest = 2.36-inches / 6cm. (Whole armrest is 4.72-inches wide / 12cm)
1 Star Delight chair overall width: 28.35-inches / 72cm
Row of 2 Star Delight chairs overall width: 52.30-inches / 132cm
Row of 3 Star Delight chairs overall width: 75.60 / 192cm
